Points may be entered into the program several ways

• Imported from a comma delimited ASCII file
  • Format  #, North, East, Elevation, Comment
  • Format  #, East, North, Elevation, Comment
• Imported from a DXF file
• Calculated from an Intersection, Parallel line, Distance from two points
• Transverse
• New Point at same coordinate as an existing point - with or without an offset
  • North offset
  • East offset
  • Elevation offset

After you have acquired the points it is important that the point has a meaningful comment
When I take shots I use abbreviations with the data collector - often just the station # then
manage the comments with the Comment Editor
